Business Development Committee

The Business Development Committee actively supports the chamber in its aim of developing a mutually supportive and successful business community. The wider and more diverse the Chamber membership is, the closer we move towards achieving and sustaining this aim. With this is mind, the Business Development Committee works together to plan and prepare for the following:

Growing and retaining the Chamber’s membership, so that it encompasses a wide range of businesses from all sectors.

  • Helping our members to get the very best support and outcomes from their Chamber membership.
  • Delivering a calendar of worthwhile and enjoyable events that ensure we offer added value to our member’s businesses.
  • Marketing activities that promote the Chamber and raise awareness of how we support the local business community.
  • The Woking Means Business Exhibition.

The committee meets on the third Thursday of each month and is ably chaired by Rebecca from Officeset.

Jason Lawes

Jason Lawes

I made the leap to start my own graphic and web design business in 2012 after having been employed for many years.

We’ve grown from being just myself to a small team of 5, and now regularly work with some big brands such as Taco Bell and The National Trust.

Most of our clients are local to the Woking area, so becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce and helping with the Business Development committee made perfect sense.

It allows me to be involved with helping local businesses and showing them how the Chamber can benefit them. Being from a design and marketing background, my knowledge compliments the fellow committee members’ areas of expertise.
