Are you concerned about your heart health? Whether you’ve been experiencing symptoms such as chest discomfort or palpitations, have a family history of heart disease, or simply want to learn more about keeping your heart healthy, come along to this FREE patient event exploring the essentials of general cardiology.
This session will be hosted by Dr. Riyaz Kaba, a Consultant Cardiologist practicing at Runnymede Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey.
Dr. Kaba will discuss common heart conditions and red flags and warning signs which might indicate the need for treatment. There will be a Q&A session at the end.
Dr. Kaba is a highly experienced consultant with specialist training from Columbia University in New York and Imperial College London.
Amongst other achievements, Dr Kaba recently implanted one of the world's first multi-polar pacemaker leads for a patient with severe heart failure. Dr Kaba has published widely and he has received several academic awards including prestigious international awards from America and Europe.
Specialist interests include arrhythmias – the disturbance of electrical activity and conduction within the heart – and he performs potentially curative interventional procedures for such conditions in the form of Cardiac Ablations.
