"Woking Chamber of Commerce is important to Woking"
Nearly 100 attend Chamber's Christmas Networking event
Speaking at the Woking Chamber Christmas Networking
event on Friday 4th December at The New Victoria Theatre, Ray Morgan, Chief Executive of Woking Borough Council, pointed out that the Woking
Chamber of Commerce was an important part of the business scene in Woking. He
said that events like these where members and non-members meet together to
share ideas and work together can only help to develop the local economy. Small
and medium sized businesses are vital to the growth of the economy and are also
a useful starting point for start- up companies wishing to build their contacts
and their businesses.
Nearly 100 business people attended the event, which
included a "New Members Exhibition" which featured ten relatively new members
of the Chamber complete with their display material promoting their products
and services.
Also in attendance were the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Derek
McCrum and Jonathan Lord MP.
