Councillors put residents’ interests at the heart of the decisions they make. The opinions of local people and businesses matter when decisions are being taken, and welcome their views.

Held in public, residents and businesses can attend meetings in person to listen to the debate, ask a question or present a petition. Meetings are held at Woking’s Civic Offices from 6pm onward.

Question can either be asked on the night, or in writing if they are emailed to sarah.goodman@surreycc.gov.uk by 12noon the Thursday before the meeting. Petitions, which require a minimum of 30 signatures, need to be submitted 14 days before the meeting. Meeting can also be viewed live by visiting www.surreycc.gov.uk/webcasts

A firm fixture in the Celebrate Woking calendar, Woking's premier outdoor party returns on Saturday 9 July 2016 and promises to be out of this world.....

Science fiction theme
In honour of former Woking resident, H.G. Wells, author of The War of the Worlds, the theme for Party in the Park 2016 will be science fiction. 2016 represents H.G. Wells' 150th birthday so we plan to host one galactic sized celebration just in case he lands in Woking Park aboard his Time Machine.
