Pilates, Yoga and Sports/Postural and sports injuries/Deep tissue/Remedial and Holistic Massage
My journey as a sports therapist and Pilates instructor began when I was diagnosed with slipped discs in my spine. This caused debilitating back and buttock pain as well as sciatic nerve symptoms. I was advised to practice Pilates to strengthen my core muscles.
I developed my own programme (combining Pilates, Yoga and fitness exercises) which alleviated pain in my back and legs and prevented further slipped discs from occurring.
This programme, allied with deep tissue massage, has changed my life and allows me to undertake my work and daily activities without relying on painkillers or any medication.
My medical history combined with my specialist knowledge enables me to provide bespoke packages to clients affected by similar conditions.
In 2006 I graduated from Raworth International College in Dorking (accredited by the International Sports Massage Association) with a Diploma in Sports Therapy. Since then, I have completed further training and have gained considerable experience in a variety of different disciplines:
• Deep tissue massage and sports therapy
• Swedish massage
• Fitness, health and wellbeing programmes
• Lifestyle management
• Indian head massage
• Thai massage
Groups and 1 to 1 tuition available in the Woking area. Adults of all abilities and ages are welcome.
