The Scottish Colourists are among Britain’s most cherished artists. The group were among the first to introduce the intense colour of the French ‘les fauves’ (the wild beasts) movement into Britain in the 1920s. All of the artists were influenced by French painters including Manet and the later Impressionists, Cézanne, Matisse and the fauves. All of these influences subtly shaped their output while they also drew heavily on their Scottish artistic heritage.

Guy Peploe, Managing Director of The Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh, is the acknowledged expert on his grandfather's work, S.J. Peploe. He has written and lectured extensively on S.J. Peploe and has published articles on F.C.B. Cadell and Scottish art in general. He regularly contributes to television and radio. He will also discuss the activities of the group and provide insight into the private and public personalities of the artists.

Our Firewalk is taking place on Friday 25 October 2019 at Chobham Rugby Club during their Firework Extravaganza. The Extravaganza starts from 6pm, registration will start at around 6:30pm and the event will finish around 7:30pm giving everyone a chance to watch the fireworks (which starts at 8pm).

It will be a fantastic evening which the whole family can enjoy (as a thank you, entrance is free for firewalkers, but additional tickets must be purchased for anyone else attending). It is a great team building exercise, too!

We have two different ways people within your organisation can choose to sign up and take part.

Option 1
Everyone can sign up as individual firewalkers and raise separate sponsorship. Registration is £25 per person and a minimum sponsorship is required of £120 each.
*Woking & Sam Beare Hospices has a competition running for the person who raises the most money in overall sponsorship will win a bottle of bubbly. This will be calculated two weeks after the event.

Option 2
You can register as a team (Minimum of 5 people required).
Registration is still £25 per person but you will have a combined sponsorship target.
Combined Sponsorship target will equal £120 x amount of people in your team.

HOT OFF THE PRESS - Registration is now open and I would recommend signing up as soon as possible. We have had a lot of interest which is very exciting!
